Funnels 2.0 with drop-off insights

Maya Chen

Acme Analytics

Funnels have been our most-used report for years. Today we're shipping a ground-up rebuild.

What's new

  • Drop-off insights — click any step to see the top properties of users who didn't convert
  • Time-to-convert distribution for every step
  • Unlimited steps (previously capped at 8)
  • Compare any two date ranges side by side
"We found a 22% drop on our pricing page in under five minutes." — early beta tester

Funnels 2.0 is live for every workspace. Your saved funnels have been migrated automatically.

3 breaking changes

  1. acme.track() no longer accepts a callback

    @acme/analytics SDK

    Replace acme.track(name, props, cb) with await acme.track(name, props). Wrap calls in try/catch if you relied on the callback error argument.

  2. Page-number pagination removed from GET /v1/events

    REST API

    Use the next_cursor value from each response as ?cursor= on the next request. The page and per_page parameters now return 400.

  3. Funnel step ids are now strings

    REST API, webhooks

    Store funnel step ids as strings; numeric ids are no longer returned.

    The drop-off breakdown is exactly what we needed. Found two broken steps in our onboarding already.

    Any plans to support funnels across multiple products?

    Yes! Cross-product funnels are on the roadmap for next quarter — upvote it there so we can prioritise 🙌
